Common questions
Do I need any prior crochet experience?+
Not at all. This course starts from absolute zero. If you can hold a hook, you are ready. Most of our students have never crocheted before joining.
What materials do I need?+
Acrylic yarn in multiple colours (especially red, yellow, lavender, green, and brown for flowers), cotton yarn, chenille yarn, crochet hooks in sizes 3, 4, 5, and 6, a darning needle, stitch markers, wire, a zipper, and scissors. You can also purchase a complete materials kit from us after signup — just message us on WhatsApp and we will sort it out for you.
Are the classes recorded?+
Classes are live on Zoom. If you miss a class, the recording is available for 1 year so you can catch up anytime. But live attendance is strongly recommended — you learn faster when Kritika can watch your hands and correct you in real time.
What if I miss a class?+
The recording will be available for 1 year so you can watch what you missed whenever it suits you. You also have the WhatsApp community to ask doubts anytime. Kritika keeps 1 hour after each class for doubt-clearing.
How long is each class?+
Each class is about 2 hours of teaching, followed by a 1-hour doubt-clearing session. So about 3 hours total per session.
What is the class schedule?+
Classes happen in the second half of the day (afternoon/evening). Exact timings are decided with the batch. There are gaps between classes so you get time to practice.
How long does the full course take?+
About 45 days to 2 months. There will be breaks for holidays, and the group collectively decides the pace based on everyone's learning speed and availability. That said, we expect everyone to follow timelines so we stay on track and actually make things together.
Can I really sell what I make?+
Yes. By the end of 30 classes, you will have the skills to create bags, accessories, amigurumi, and wearables that people pay real money for. Kritika will also teach you how to photograph, price, and list your work. We are also building a marketplace on rachni where you can sell your creations directly — no need to figure out selling on your own.
What is the rachni marketplace?+
We are building a marketplace right here on rachni where you can list and sell your handmade creations — bags, amigurumi, accessories, and more. Once you finish the course, you will have a place to sell without needing your own website or figuring out Instagram selling. It is coming soon, and students from this batch will get early access.
